WOOD TECHNOLOGIES: EXPORT FIRST HALF 2021 CLOSES AT + 40%

Exports of "made in Italy" wood technologies continue to grow in 2021. According to the data issued by ISTAT, already consolidated, considering that they refer to the first half of the current year, machines and plants for wood processing have been exported for a value of 752 million euros, marking a percentage increase, over the same period in 2020, of 40%. An absolutely significant result if we think of the period of strong depression that the sector has experienced for most of 2020; a crisis that could also drag on into 2021.

The United States remain our best customers with 77 million euros and an increase of 31% over the same period of 2020, while France (54 million) and Poland (53 million) overtake Germany (52 million), taking the second place respectively. and third place of the top ten markets.

China, although with an absolute value of "half rank", recorded the highest percentage increase in the top ten in the first six months of the year, registering a + 47% for 37 million euros; finally we point out Russia, although outside the top ten countries, but recovering, with 16 million euros (+ 10%).
